All my friends talk about "Garden State." What makes this movie so great?

...not every movie is going to be appealing to everyone, but I would have to say the character development if you dont feell it in the end then you just didn't get it...sorry

the soundtrack. and it's a dark film that's well-written.
Reply:You just need to watch it for yourself. I finally watched it and I think its a great movie. Especially if you are a Natalie Portman fan.

Reply:Natalie Portman and Zach Braff do. Because of the soberness, because of the character development, because of the music.. It's just a great movie.
Reply:It's realistic, in terms of, the characters have faults, sh*t happens to them, life goes on, love happens. Zach and Natalie's characters just meld, love that happened only because she laughed as a dog humped his leg. He has problems with drugs that reflect a lot of us, those who are labeled and drugged by our parents who don't want to think anything is their fault. His friend is a petty criminal. His girlfriend compulsively lies and is lost in her own life. I loved the movie, I saw it in the theatre and bought it to watch again and again. Also, the music on the soundtrack is my style, so ..... it was simple and sweet.

zach braff is an awesome writer/actor/director





he brings humor and shows the dark side of teh film as well. i recommend it
