Is "Garden State" considered an indie film?

yes, in the sense that alot of "indie" films are these days. every major studio has a small "indie" division now.





-oh, forgot to mention i hate zach braff. he's like an emo male. nothing particularly manly about some scrawny dude who's all wimpy and effeminate in every movie.

Reply:I want to say yes but then it went a little more main stream with Zach Braff being in it from "scrubs". I want to say it was at the Sundance Film Festival.
Reply:Well barely. It was made by two big companies (Fox and Disney), but distributed by their subsiduary companies for classy arthouse flicks (Fox Searchlight and Miramax, respectively).
Reply:yes. although it was distributed by major distributors.

Reply:Yes, I'd say so - even though it was more popular than most "indie" films.
