I first saw it on the BMW in garden state, then on a Toyota truck in town. I like it and would like to paint my SUV like that, but I don't want it if it means something lame or gets too popular. Is it military in origin?
What does a green paint job with a white star mean?
if you mean its a dark green with a white star on the door that's what the old army vehicles were painted like. other than that i'm not sure.

It called the "invasion star" and was painted on all the allied vehicles prior the invasion of normandy
i have no idea why a bmw or toyota would be painted like that.
