I am looking to buy land in Arizona to retire on. However I am not familiar growing veggies in the state and was wondering what areas support the best environment for sustainable gardening/farming?

Yes, you can garden in AZ. They have water irrigation ditches, and grow lots of things there. My mom lives outside Phoenix, and grows veggies, fruits, flowers, etc.
If, however, you want to buy land not directly in the desert, look for slightly higher elevations.
Reply:Buy some soil at the store and grow your plants in pots.
