Aargh! There are so many I don't remember them all. Here's a couple. I'll add more if I think of them.
California - Golden State
Nevada - Silver State
Missouri - Show Me State

Funny but most Americans don't think much about it - at least not outside of our state. Our tourist boards really like the nicknames though! I really should have remembered some of them though.
