Well to the first person, your going to get an arguement from the people of Assam Province, they grow most of the spices and the hottest chili known to man the "Naka Jolikia", they run over 1,000,000 on the Scoville scale.

The most fragrant Jerra (cumin) turmerci and coriander area from there, I have friends from that area and they tell me of field of lush produce, the egplants and other fresh produce are from there in most market stalls all over India.
